TEHRAN (Asremrooz):He made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony which was held in Tehran on Saturday to commemorate 17,000 Iranian martyrs who have fallen victim to terrorism.

“When our enemies get desperate about the use of logic, they resort to terrorism, and the more desperate they become, the more furious they become,” Alavi said.

Not only has terrorism not been quelled across the globe, it has also manifested itself in new forms, he noted.

Thus, more ceremonies like this should be held to promote the campaign against terrorism, he added.

There are many countries that have paid lip service to the campaign against terrorism, but today, the same countries have become the standard-bearers of terrorist actions, Alavi stated.

Later in the ceremony, a stamp commemorating the 17,000 Iranian martyrs of terrorism was unveiled.

At the beginning of the ceremony, a film depicting the terrorist acts of various groups, such as the Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO), PJAK (the Party of a Free Life in Kurdistan), and Jundullah, which was led by Abdolmalek Rigi, and including video clips of programs produced by counter-revolutionary media outlets supporting these terrorist groups was screened for the audience.
